Cycling across Europe in 2021

 Down and then big hill to campsite Capella de la Concepción. Campsite owner speaks good English and said he studied at British Council. Really useful fir communication. He  is in his 60s and he replied yesterday I was welcome up here so I knew to ride here today. Evenings are when I email campsites for the following day and see if places open.Campsite high in hills and v quiet remote area. Worth the hot hard climb the final 3 miles Met another uk cyclist touring and he had same hassle with google maps sending off piste on gravel. I got lost 3x since Madrid 25/7 but not too serious. Hopefull clear sky tonight as can see stars from dark quiet areas high up Camping La Tatgera

V hot hilly and made wrong turn so added 20km. About 90km east from Barcelona here. 

 Straight. Not hilly. V hot.Cataluyna. Easy day. Last night campsite €10.00  Tonight is airbnb in Leida €23. Can't see any campsites nearby. So airbnb is for then. Tomorrow in Leida and study map and route north to France.  11 days since Madrid. 450 miles approximately over 12 days.  I've stayed outdoors for 3 weeks of the past 4 on campsites

 Straight and long hills and fast descents..quite straight and very hot sun over head over 70km. Really pretty in descent in final 10km

 Easy straight road. Lot of downhill. Campsite has a pool and is €16 per night. V nice. All supermarkets in the town are closed in sundays so needs a trek into town on monday. I withdrew fro uk bank at santander atm in Spain. It was 4.5% charge on foreign atm withdraw. And limit seems €300 a day. I had easy day short ride today as have done 5hrs a day approx for past 3 days m

Hilly long straight roads. At start today supermarket so busy I avoided it thinking "there will be shops along road of today's ride". Wrong. There was no town and almost no villages on 90km of N420. I had 4.5litre of water and 4 slice of bread and 2 tin of meat in pannier bag though. But they are emergency food. It is best to keep24 hours of water and 3 meals dry food on the bicycle in pannier bags.. that don't get eaten. They are for if stranded between towns. I was fine today as ate a lot yesterday evening.  Today I saw sign for campsite but road was a dirt track for 2.5km up hill.  And a 2nd campsite was far down mountain side from road and I could see no supermarkets ..so a hungry evening and what if campsite closed and I can't get in but have mountain road to climb back out?. So I used booking.com and got a €55 hotel room. Tomorrow 1/8 I have a campsite...

. V hilly first 15km and very steep descent. Amazing scenery. I walked up some hills as bike heavy on 42x28. I walked down 2 pitches that were dangerously steep downhills with hairpins the bike is too heavy for.  Last night campsite address Le Serroda Calle Cerrillo, 19313 Peralejos de las Truchas, Guadalajara, Spain Tonight st Air bnb. I can't see any campsite for 100km going east north east.  The final 15km today were all downhill. A v tough day of heat and 1,100m climbing
